Shoot Your Movie
The Capture Mode
Capture modes determine the action when the shutter button is pressed. The default setting captures a single image. For more advanced options, you can record live video to combine stop-motion animation with live action, or utilize the timelapse feature to automatically take pictures at set intervals, creating a timelapse animation.
The five capture modes are as follows:
- Photo: Single-image capture. This is the default mode. Will capture a single image only.
- Timer: Capture after countdown timer. Will capture a single image after a countdown. The timer needs to be restarted after each capture.
- Clip: Record live action. In this mode, Stop Motion Studio will record a video clip.
- Timelapse: Continuous image capture with intervals. Will capture a single image after a countdown. The timer will be restarted after each capture. Best for timelapse recordings.
- Multi: Simultaneous capture of multiple images.
To modify the capture mode:
- While in capture mode, tap the capture mode button to switch the mode.
- Choose a new capture mode and close the capture mode settings. The shutter button may reflect the updated capture mode, and additional options might appear beside the shutter button.
