I Deleted the App and My Projects Are Gone

Reinstalling Stop Motion Studio does not automatically bring back projects that were stored only inside the deleted app. Projects are different from purchases: restoring a purchase unlocks features, but it does not restore project files.

First, check whether you previously saved or shared a project file to Files, cloud storage, another device, or a computer. If you have a copy, import the project into the reinstalled app. If your school configured iCloud project storage, check the same account and your school's Shared iPad setup.

If you deleted a project but did not delete the app, see Restore a Deleted Project File. If you still have the original device, do not delete or reset anything else while looking for a backup.

We do not keep copies of customer projects, so support cannot retrieve a project that exists only in a deleted app and has no backup. For future projects, share a project file to keep an editable copy.
